Drumming Since 2009
Hudson Goulart, a skilled drummer from Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, brings over a decade of musical experience to his craft. His journey began with foundational training at Oficina do Som and further refinement at Escola de Música Carlos Gomes. Since 2013, he has been an essential member of Rock do Mato, where his drumming has helped shape the band’s unique sound. In 2018, Hudson ventured into new musical territory with Elefante Mudo, showcasing his versatility not just as a drummer but also as a producer for their EP “Respire.” The following year, he expanded his horizons further with Quarto Minguante, contributing his creativity to their debut EP “Canto Azul,” demonstrating his adaptability across different musical styles.
Currently based in Dublin, Ireland, Hudson is deeply immersed in his latest project as the drummer for Lighting Phill & The Sinisters. Alongside his role in the band, he has established himself as a sought-after session musician, lending his talents to various genres including rockabilly, samba, jazz, pop, and R&B. Hudson’s dynamic drumming style and professional approach make him a valuable asset both on stage and in the studio, earning him recognition in the vibrant music scene of Dublin.
Continuing his musical journey, Hudson is also dedicated to education, enrolled in the Jazz Ensemble Improvisation Course at Newpark Jazz College. As a drum instructor, he shares his wealth of knowledge and passion with students of all levels, guiding them on their musical paths. Hudson’s commitment to lifelong learning and mentorship reflects his dedication to nurturing the next generation of musicians.
A standout moment in Hudson’s career includes his involvement in recording Lighting Phill & The Sinisters’ blues album at Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin.
